Gallese Design were part of a traditional detailed design contract team successfully appointed by Newport Holdings Ltd. to provide detailed M & E design for three separate Category A - fit out Speculative Office Buildings.
The client did not have a 'green' engineering aspiration. However heat pump comfort cooling was adopted as an energy marketability initiative and installation costs favourably comparable with a more traditional gas fired heating system with radiators.
Three virtually identical office buildings, all speculative office two storey buildings of steel construction, with open plan office units, which have been designed for simple partitioning letting space options and including central circulation areas.
Environmental features include heat pump comfort cooling throughout the let-able office areas, high efficiency fluorescent lighting internally and combination fluorescent LED and metal halide lighting externally to compliment the architecture.
